The installation Barre in the Window Room is one of metal artist Sofia Karyofilis's first comprehensive room installations. The installation manifests her interest in man-made boundaries, both physical and social. The work plays on different sides of this topic: barriers both in a concrete and mental sense. The movement of the body through the room is adjusted according to the row of copper sheets that more or less barricade the doorway and continue into the space, almost like a partition.
