For this month’s iteration of Close Readings, our no-preparation-needed monthly reading group, we focus on excerpts from the controversial – and completely sold out – book Unlearning Exercises: Art Organizations as Sites for Unlearning. A collection of theoretical texts and an exercise manual, Unlearning Exercises offers suggestions for new ways of making institutions and collaborations, asking us to reconsider the value of reproductive labour (cleaning, fixing, caring) and to fight for inclusivity in our art institutions. We will do an exercise together and discuss!

The book can be found in its entirety here: https://monoskop.org/images/e/e7/Unlearning_Exercises_Art_Organizations_as_Sites_for_Unlearning_2018.pdf
