Be My Guest is an informal and open-hearted dinner event, in which artists share their work and thoughts over a creative home-cooked meal.

Both in painting and in cooking, one must look closely at the nuances of colour, texture and temperature. While making food or making paintings, one must consider how the visual form will appear when presented on a plate or in a bowl or on a canvas. There is indeed a close connection between cooking and painting.

Suleman Aqeel Khilji is currently artist in residence at Edvard Munch’s Atelier at Ekely, Oslo. Inspired by Khilji’s mother’s cooking, he will introduce his practice and share his thoughts and experiences working in Edvard Munch’s studio.

The event is made possible thanks to a collaboration with Edvard Munch’s Atelier, STANDARD (OSLO) and UKS.
