Artist Talk with A K Dolven
A K Dolven's sculpture seng (2019) is part of Oslo Municipality's art collection and is temporarily exhibited at the Vigeland Museum until September 15.
seng is exactly what it appears to be—a bed made of Fauske marble. Visitors are invited to lie down on it, close their eyes, or gaze out of the skylight. Dolven often explores themes of time and our phenomenological experience in her works, a subject that art historian Lill K. Stensrud from Oslo Municipality’s art collection will highlight in a conversation with Dolven.
The artist talk will be in Norwegian and will last approximately 45 minutes. The event is free and open to all. Visitors will have the opportunity to view the sculpture, the permanent collection, and the exhibition The Home as a Work of Art before the artist talk begins, and there will be free admission to the Vigeland Museum from 5:00 PM.
