Trembling Earth is the first significant survey of Edvard Munch’s depictions of nature. It’s an exhibition that will challenge many of the usual preconceptions about his art. It covers a wide and diverse range of subjects, including forests, the garden, agriculture, the weather, and Munch´s interest in new theories of biology and the cycles of nature. Trembling Earth is co-organized by MUNCH, The Clark Art Institute in Williamstown, Massachusetts, USA and the Museum Barberini, Potsdam, Germany.
