Kitty Crowther: Entre deux eaux. Between Two Waters.

Kitty Crowther
  • Open until 17:00

Tegnerforbundet – The Norwegian Drawing Center is thrilled to present Kitty Crowther (b. 1970) in her first art exhibition in Norway. Kitty Crowther is an acclaimed Belgian illustrator and author. Despite being hearing impaired from birth, she has built a remarkable career in children’s literature, known for her unique and emotionally powerful illustrations.

The exhibition at Tegnerforbundet spotlights the astonishing quality of Kitty Crowther's artistry, highlighting her mastery of both line and atmosphere, as well as her extraordinary ability to blend fantasy and reality. The exhibition will contain a series of portraits in crayon and monotype that explore new dimensions of expression. These portraits, which have a format smaller than A4, can be compared to looking at yourself in a small mirror above the sink. In addition, a specially designed sound and light installation will create immersive experiences that deepen her storytelling.
