Natthagen (The Night Garden) is a textile installation by Nikolai Lieblein Røsæg and Orbie Mio, created in collaboration with composer and musician Sjur Nyvold. Through an activation by Nyvold, the project explores darkness as an artistic medium through the interplay of textiles, light, and sound.
Natthagen premiered in Inderøy, Trøndelag, in October 2025, where approximately 200 people, spread across three evenings, ventured into the darkness to experience the approximately 40-minute-long work, featuring Sjur’s live performance in the garden. The work was subsequently presented at Telemarkstunet during the Winter Festival in Rauland in February. The three performances at Salgshallen mark the work’s first presentation in Oslo.
