With Your Hand On The Work
Welcome to the vernissage on Thursday, August 6th from 6 to 8 PM
With the body as a starting point, this exhibition invites the audience to explore how objects, materials, and environments shape movement and interaction. Through sculptural costumes, installations, and performative expressions, the artist investigates how the properties of materials offer different possibilities and limitations for the body.
The exhibition is a meeting point between art forms such as choreography, sculpture, and sound. Here, the surroundings are presented as an extension of the body, where objects and materials become active co-creators in a continuous dialogue between movement, sound, and space.
Marte Dahl explores movement and interaction through sculptural costume design and performance. With a practice that encompasses materials, choreography, sound, and everyday objects, she examines how these elements shape our relationship with our own bodies and our surroundings.
