Degree Show 2025: SEE YOU AT THE END OF THE WORLD

Welcome to the opening of the Academy of Fine Art’s graduation exhibition at Oslo Kunstforening 9 May from 17–20! 23 newly graduated artists from the bachelor’s programme will present their work in the entire building at Rådhusgata 19.
This year’s artists work across a range of media including sculpture, sound, video, textile, photography, drawing, and performance. The starting point for the exhibition is the documentary «Antarctica – Encounters at the End of the World» (2007) by German filmmaker Werner Herzog. The film addresses questions related to the climate crisis, capitalism, invisible landscapes, the future, homeliness, belonging, and the interdependence of organisms. The exhibition is curated by Dora García.
Where is the end of the world, what happens there, and what do we encounter along the way? Through a wide range of media, the artists explore these questions in the exhibition. See you there?
