To mark the 50th anniversary of Norske Kunsthåndverkere in 2025, Nitja presents an exhibition celebrating fifty years of Norwegian jewelry art. The show spans the entire period from 1975 to today, with a focus on how jewelry can be both wearable and deeply artistic. Jewelry art stands out because it’s not tied to one material—this has opened up space for a wide range of creative and experimental approaches. The exhibition brings together iconic pieces and leading names in the field alongside lesser-known artists and brand-new work by the next generation. Together, they tell the story of Norwegian jewelry art over the past five decades.

The exhibition is a collaboration between Nitja Centre for Contemporary Art and the Norwegian Association for Arts and Crafts.
