I am fascinated by the phenomena of abstraction in art, and especially photography`s ability to capture moments while also conveying a sense of timelessness, connecting the past, present and future.

Abstractions through translations are perhaps futile as there is always an element that remains unclear, highlighting the quality of the translation itself that cannot be fully retold.

Photographs of space are transcriptions of three-dimensional structures onto two-dimensional surfaces, creating a contradiction between spatial representation and materiality.

Photographs of landscapes or buildings can never fully capture the complexity of the situation, as the photographs themselves are insufficient to render the temporal experience of the landscape.

Aware of the limitations of photography, translations between different media also introduce new functions, thereby displacing the original action - ultimately altering the original experience made possible by photography.
