STONE ASSEMBLIES — BOOK LAUNCH + CONCERT

Fred Moten, Brandon Lopez
  • 19:00
    21:00

Stone Assemblies (Nero Press) explores the politics of stone, ruination, and dissent. Taking the histories of extraction and land struggles in Palestine and Norway as its starting point, the book brings together artists, writers, and thinkers exploring anti-colonial and anti-extractivist forms of art and collective practice.

The evening begins with a panel discussion featuring Jumana Manna, Rana Issa, Drew Snyder, Mohamed Abdi, and Wendy Lotterman, followed by a concert with poet and theorist Fred Moten and composer and bassist Brandon Lopez, making incendiary music for a burning world.

No prior registration required.
