See the winner of the Palme d'Or at Cannes 2026 at Kunstnernes Hus Cinema! A deeply religious family moves from Romania to a small town in Norway. They quickly find their footing in the local congregation and among their neighbours – until the school suspects that the parents are using physical punishment on their children, and the case reaches child protective services.

Mungiu's film is a taut and unsettling drama about cultural difference and the thin membrane between family life and institutional power. Renate Reinsve and Sebastian Stan reunite after A Different Man (2023). The film also won the FIPRESCI Prize and the François Chalais Prize at Cannes.
