The Housewife’s Guide to World Domination brings together film, sculpture, and painting in a narrative of female resistance and rebellion, where violence, humor, and color are used to reclaim power. Throughout the exhibition, visitors enter a world where reality and fiction intersect, and female characters – both autobiographical and fictional – take center stage.
Multiple stories unfold in the exhibition, where women act and claim space. In Living My Best Housewife Life, the housewife takes the lead, smiling and perfectly dressed, gradually erasing her husband and reinventing herself as the leader of the family – and the world. In Housewife Rebels, the grocery store transforms into a stage for rebellion, and in America’s Sweethearts: The Cheerleader Uprising, cheerleaders burn down the Dallas Cowboys stadium in protest against unfair working conditions.
Together, the works form a playful universe where female revolt challenges our perspectives on power and injustice.
