In 2024, it is 100 years since the Norwegian artist Christian Skredsvig (1854-1924) passed away. Skredsvig is often associated with art traditions deeply rooted in the 19th century. However, in collaboration with the leading artists of his time, he contributed to develop painting in new directions. The exhibition brings in voices such as Claude Monet, Edvard Munch, Kitty Kielland, Harriet Backer and Knut Hamsun to illuminate both an artist and a central period in Norwegian art history.
