The exhibition brings together new silkscreen prints produced at Dudder, a leading silkscreen workshop in Rødovre outside Copenhagen. The four artists work in very different ways — from Mads Gamdrup (b. 1967) and his exploration of light and the materiality of colour, via Morten Buch's (b. 1970) expressive and figurative visual language, to Leonard Forslund's (b. 1959) painterly-abstracted form and Pernille With Madsen's (b. 1972) complex image processes — yet they meet in silkscreen as an active artistic medium.
All four artists are represented in prominent public collections. Pernille With Madsen may be familiar to many as the artist behind the permanent commission at Enghave Brygge metro station in Copenhagen (2023). Leonard Forslund is held by, among others, Moderna Museet and the National Gallery of Denmark. Mads Gamdrup is represented in the National Museum of Contemporary Art in Oslo. Morten Buch is held by, among others, ARKEN and the New Carlsberg Foundation.
