Galleri Brandstrup and GalleryLab present the exhibition The Load Must Be Pulled in collaboration. In this project, visual artist Anna Daniell takes on a mentoring role, with two local artists participating as protégées: Diana Ahmedi and Kira Shatylo. The artists first met in the autumn of 2025 and have since developed the exhibition through dialogue and hands-on collaboration.

The project explores mentorship as a dynamic and reciprocal relationship, where traditional hierarchies are challenged through a shared exploration of new materials, techniques, and working methods. The exhibition reflects on collaboration, learning, and the distribution of responsibility, asking what is carried individually and what is carried collectively - both within artistic processes and in relation to institutions and the public sphere.
