A tveklang—a harmonious interplay of two voices—arises when two independent voices sound simultaneously. They retain their distinct character, yet their encounter gives rise to something that neither possesses on its own. The exhibition is the culmination of a friendship between two artists working in different artistic mediums—and with vastly different materials. Spanning the two floors of Galleri Semmingsen, Fredrik KB’s stone sculptures and Christer Karlstad’s oil paintings mirror and complement one another. Together, they have created loosely defined thematic spaces filled with works ranging from the intimate to the monumental for visitors to step into.
