What's Ours: Finissage & artist talk with Myriam Boulos + Rana Issa
Myriam Boulos is coming to Oslo this weekend as we mark the closing of her exhibition 'What's Ours', which traces a decade of Lebanon’s turbulent landscape. From the 2019 uprising and the aftermath of the Beirut port explosion the following year, to the lead-up to Israel’s latest attacks, Boulos’ friends, family, and fellow citizens are portrayed with an intense energy and intimacy.
Boulos’ first solo exhibition in Norway includes photographs, diary entries, and conversation fragments from 2013–2023. In Sunday’s artist talk, Boulos will discuss her work and her latest projects with Rana Issa (b. 1976, Lebanon), a Lebanese-Palestinian writer, historian, translator, editor, and curator based in Oslo.
In addition to the artist talk, a mini exhibition produced by eight young people who have recently arrived in Norway, will be presented. The mini exhibition was created in response to Boulos’ work through a workshop led by Rebecca Shirin Jafari and Kari Margrethe Sabro.
