PROCESS is a participatory-exhibition-as-experimental-container by Marie Cole, Haweya Jama, Ayesha Jordan, and Fotogalleriet’s curatorial fellow Lara Okafor. The opening takes place on Friday, March 21, 2025 at 18:00, and marks Fotogalleriet’s transformation into a ‘container,’ to which artists can contribute work. It is an inquiry into creative participatory processes and how they encourage critical thinking, communal growth, exchange, and defiance; centred from Afrodiasporic perspectives. PROCESS is our love letter to the Black and Afrodiasporic community in Norway.

We are striving to create an ever-evolving environment that can be influenced by the numerous bodies and ideas that engage with the space during its three seasons: Cleanse, Cultivate, and Harvest. These seasons are in conversation with plant cycles and describe the process that we hope participants will engage in within the experimental container.
