19:00 Guided tour

Art historian Merete Hovdenak will guide the audience in the underpass at 3KT. Here Ebbing has created a unique underground world of graffiti and graphics. Guests will be offered pizza, with beverages available for purchase!

NB: The guided tour will be held in Norwegian.

Julie Ebbing’s artistic practice is critical and uncompromising, with a discerning eye toward the role of the artist and the place of art in society. Through fragmented expressions – texts, mythological and art historical references, corporeal and grotesque motifs – she confronts the viewer with questions of power, gender, market, and identity. Here, it is left ambiguous whether the neighboring National Museum represents heaven or hell.

Merete Hovdenak is a curator and art historian, specialized in Norwegian graphic arts, including the works of Inger Sitter and Per Kleiva. She is the managing director of Kunstsentrene i Norge (KiN).
