Valborg’s Little Nightmare

  • Closed

Emanuel Vigeland's 150th anniversary opens with the exhibition "Valborg's Little Nightmares" by the artist duo Hjorth & Kjølaas, at the Emanuel Vigeland Museum, Saturday, May 10 at 1:00 PM. The exhibition takes place in the museum's side room; Emanuel's old studio, which will be opened to the public for the occasion.

"Valborg's Little Nightmares" is a sequel to Hjorth & Kjølaas' fictional murder mystery at the Artists' Association in 2022 — "Murder in the Company of Psychics", which ended with Emanuel's wife, Valborg Kristine Madsen, arriving in Kristiania with a strange egg from Paris. The egg is suspiciously similar to the urn placed above the entrance to the mausoleum.

The exhibition also shows original works by Valborg himself, which have not been shown before. This is a unique opportunity to get to know a forgotten Norwegian artist.

20% of any sales will go towards the restoration of the unique mausoleum and its main attraction, the 800 m² fresco work "Vita".
