Welcome to an Artist Talk and Book Launch for the release of the book Monografi with John K. Raustein. The artist will meet the book’s editor, Nina Mauno Schjønsby, and contributor Joakim Kjørsvik for a conversation at Bærum Kunsthall.

Together, they will discuss the textile medium’s many expressive possibilities, with particular focus on perception, memory, and the tactile as carriers of both personal and collective experiences. Raustein works with monumental installations rooted in his own experiences, addressing societal themes such as queer identity, marginalization, and the environmental impact of the textile industry. The conversation will also shed light on the process behind the monograph and how it frames his artistic practice.
