It has been said that ‘drawing is seeing’. In this exhibition, it is political prisoners in Azerbaijan – people that the regime would rather not be seen or heard – who have been drawn. 20 students from Academy of Fine Arts, Oslo have portrayed these political prisoners in many ways. Thus the current situation in Azerbaijan is under scrutiny, and art’s political potential is explored.
